Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about preserving your memories.

How does the Legacybox process work?

Once you order, we ship you a reinforced Legacybox kit. You fill it with your old tapes, film, and photos using our safety barcodes, and ship it back to us. Our professionals digitize every item by hand and return your originals plus your new digital copies.

What types of media can you digitize?

We support a wide range of analog media including VHS tapes, MiniDV, 8mm film, 16mm film, 35mm slides, and standard photo prints. If it contains a memory, we likely have the equipment to preserve it.

Is it safe to mail my one-of-a-kind original media?

Yes, we prioritize safety above all. Every Legacybox includes a prepaid UPS shipping label with tracking, and our facility features a world-class tracking system that monitors your items at every stage of the digitization process.

How long does the digitization process take?

Standard processing typically takes 10 to 12 weeks from the time we receive your box. This ensures our technicians can provide the white-glove care and high-quality conversion your memories deserve.

In what formats will I receive my digital memories?

You can choose to receive your digitized files via Thumb Drive, Disc Set (DVD/CD), or through our secure Digital Download service via the cloud.

What is your return and satisfaction policy?

We stand by the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with your digital transfers, we will work with you to make it right. Because of the custom nature of digitization, we offer refunds on unused kits within 30 days of purchase.
